Upcoming Events

We are partnering with Cornerstone Baptist Church (Roseville, MI) and Eden Baptist Church (Burnsville, MN) to host a one-day seminar on June 27th, 2017, for pastors and church leaders on the following topic: Shepherding the People of God: The Role of Church Membership and Church Discipline in the Discipleship of Local Churches. Veteran Pastors Bob Johnson and Dan Miller will speak on these two important topics that have become significant areas of research and focus in their respective ministries. Together, these men bring a combined 55 years of pastoral wisdom regarding how to faithfully shepherd the church of Jesus Christ.
Free books and lunch will be provided for all who attend.
You may register for this seminar by filling out this online registration form.

Vacation Bible School (VBS) is a ministry outreach to teach children about God in a fun setting including games, snacks, and activities! VBS lasts five weekdays in the summer, for about three hours each day. VBS programs a theme for the week and use this theme to creatively teach God’s Word. Bible stories, memory verses, games, prizes, songs, snacks–there’s something for everyone and everyone is welcome!

Teachers at VBS are church staff as well as church members volunteering their time. Many of the church members helping out with Vacation Bible School are parents, too.

First Baptist Church VBS features activities for children who have completed Kindergarten through 6th Grade. Children learn about God through fun, age-appropriate activities. It’s perfect for younger children who get a feel for camp without having to go away overnight, and it’s a great way for kids to meet new friends. Make your plans now to join us!

February 4, 2017              Doors open at 4:30pm

For over 10 years, the Wild Game dinner has been a unique way to draw hunters and outdoorsmen toward Christ.

The Wild Game Dinner is a unique ministry with a three-fold purpose:

  1.  The fellowship of brothers and sisters in Christ, as it takes an entire church effort with many days and hours of labor to put on such an event.
  2.  A night of fellowship between parents and children as we encourage them to spend the evening together.
  3.  The presentation of the gospel to those who might not normally come to church but will attend this unique event.

Each year the Wild Game Dinner draws between 400-600 people, many of whom donate wild game used in the dinner. The menu varies widely, consisting of everything from venison, fish, and pheasant to muskrat, raccoon, bear, and much more – as well as a delicious variety of donated pies.

After the meal, attendees are treated to guest speakers, prizes, and giveaways, including some local businesses showcasing new hunting gear. But the goal is clear – to present the Gospel to men and show them Christ’s love.

We hope you’ll make this part of your Christmas celebration! There is no admission fee, and no tickets are required.

The entire church comes together for the production, with 30-40 members serving in many different areas. Child care is provided for babies and young children. ASL/SEE interpretation is also available on Saturday evening for the hearing impaired.
