Children

We recognize the privilege and responsibility of assisting parents in the discipleship of their children. Our desire is to provide Biblical instruction in a safe, enjoyable environment. All of our childcare workers are carefully selected, screened, and trained in children’s ministry.

We use a simple, safe check-in system to ensure proper care of children. If you are planning to visit any of our children’s ministries, we’d be glad to prepare for your arrival by having our system ready to check in your child(ren). Just call us (810-664-8814) to let us know.

Sundays

Sunday School

From 9:30-10:15am on Sundays, we offer classes for all ages, and our desire is to be deliberate in the instruction of our children. Towards that end, we use Scripture Press curriculum for toddlers and The Gospel Project for ages 4 through 5th grade. These tools allow us to teach the full spectrum of biblical theology and practical Christian living on a level appropriate to each age group.

Primary Church

Throughout every Sunday morning worship service, babies and toddlers are cared for and taught by a team of qualified, energetic church members. During the school year, children ages 4 years through 2nd grade are dismissed after corporate singing for a lesson and instructional activities. The Primary Church teachers continue the Gospel Project lesson that was begun during Sunday School and lead the children to pray for global outreach with the help of Kids on Mission.

Parent Resources

The Gospel Project offers many resources for parents. These will enable parents to reinforce what their children are learning at Sunday School. Resources include the following:

Wednesdays

Awana

AWANA is an international, Bible-centered youth ministry providing local churches with weekly clubs and programs from three-year olds through fifth grade. Our goal is to reach boys and girls, and their families, with the gospel of Christ and train them to serve Him. The acronym AWANA comes from the first letters of Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed – II Timothy 2:15.

Our AWANA club meets Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 8:00 during the school year. This program includes Bible Memory, games, and an age-appropriate Bible lesson.

Blast

During the summer, our young adults lead BLAST on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:00pm.
