Creativity & the Christian Conference

On Saturday, June 8, First Baptist Church of Lapeer is hosting its third Creativity and the Christian conference.
The goal of this event is to meet with fellow believers to discuss the creative and artistic gifts and how our faith and the arts inform each other. We will have theological discussions and active application about creative work. We hope to see Christians encouraged as they use their creative gifts and inspired as they see what others are doing with their gifts as believers. To that end, we’ll have workshop speakers presenting on a variety of topics, both from our church and outside of it. Lord willing, there will also be a performance of the book of Jonah.

To that end, we’ll have workshop speakers presenting on a variety of topics, both from our church and outside of it. For example, Brad Burke (FBCL member) is presenting a workshop entitled Fearfully and Wonderfully Made, and Tim Cole (a local believer from outside our church) is presenting a workshop entitled, Art as Service & Worship.
