Library

Our library strives to meet the informational and recreational media needs of all who attend First Baptist Church. We encourage you to stop in and browse. It is not necessary to be a member to take advantage of library services.

The library is supported entirely by contributions. Your donations will enable us to maintain present services, update and expand current collections, and involve more people in our resources and programs.

Mission Statement

Recognizing the need for Christian resources to be made readily available, the First Baptist Church Library will seek to provide materials that are constructive in influence, morally sound, true to biblical teachings, and reflective of the doctrinal position of our church. On a selective basis, materials that do not meet the above criteria may be included if they are appropriate for the collection.

Library materials will be made available to anyone who attends First Baptist Church, as well as to others who express an interest. These may include area pastors, students in Bible classes, persons involved in pastoral counseling, or others from the community. All materials may be checked out for a 2-week period and renewed as necessary. No rental fees or fines are charged. The library has always been staffed by volunteers and supported entirely by donations.

The library will strive to provide a support system of resources for all educational and outreach ministries by maintaining a collection that is a reflection and extension of the goals and objectives of the church. It will provide and maintain audio-visual equipment and materials as well as printed and recorded resources for those who are involved in the various ministries.
