ASL & Special Needs

ASL Ministry

Started approximately 20 years ago as a ministry to the deaf, First Baptist Church has given the gospel of Jesus Christ to those who may never have heard it otherwise. We continue to train both the hearing and deaf through our ASL ministry.

Sunday Morning

Our ASL Sunday School class gathers from 9:45-10:45am for fellowship and instruction before joining the rest of our church family at 11:00am. The Sunday morning worship service is interpreted so that all can participate in corporate worship and receive the exposition of God’s Word.

Other Opportunities

Our ASL instructors are ready to assist with other church gatherings and ministry. If there is a need for sign language interpretation, we are happy to assist. Additionally, our ASL ministry meets regularly for encouragement and fellowship.

Special Needs Ministry

Our church has a rich history of caring for those with special needs. If you or a loved one would benefit from individualized teaching that is specifically tailored for particular needs, please contact the church office to make arrangements. Transportation is provided for those who need it.
